Rooms and Cabins

Here at the Pine Crest we have both a seven-room motel and ten cabins. All of the rooms and cabins have a rustic feel with knotted pine interiors and the natural draw of the Northeast Kingdom outside. Though we do have cable TV in all the rooms and cabins we have left the phones out so as to add to the peace & quiet during your stay. They have all been given unique names to identify them, taken from the native wildlife of Vermont. The ten cabins sit within about thirty yards of the Barton River and each has a grill and picnic table outside. Directly beside the river is our community fire pit for all of our guests to enjoy.

The Motel

The motel is also very close to Barton River, only a one minute walk down our drive way. All of the rooms have cable TV, complimentary coffee for the first night, and their own private bath.

Two of our motel rooms, the “Robin’s Roost” and “Peacock Palace”, come with two twin beds. These rooms are great for travelers, hunters, skiers, or anyone on the go who needs a place to sleep.

Three of the rooms in the motel, the “Possum Pen”, “Beaver Lodge”, and “Otter Creek”, come with queen size beds. These rooms are warm and comfortable for a couple or the lone traveler looking for a place to rest or stay for a few nights.

The last two motel rooms, “Eagle Nest” and “Cougar Cave”, are very unique and offer their own special charm. They are great for larger groups or families looking for an extended stay, perhaps for a ski or hunting trip.

The “Eagle Nest” has a Full bed, two twin beds, and a dining area accompanied with a small fridgerater and a microwave. This room is great for families or small groups looking for a home base for afternoon excursions.

The final motel room is the “Cougar Cave”, though it is more of a studio than a room. It includes a full kitchen with a gas stove and full size fridgerater. There is a table for eating, a large screen TV, and four twin beds. It is also the only room to come with a full size bathtub. It is perfect for any family or group on vacation to enjoy the wonders of Vermont or maybe just the Barton River here on our property.Check Availability

The Cabins

Our cabins sit beautifully amidst the trees of Northeast Vermont and the Barton River right outside their door. They each come with their own grill and picnic table beside the porch. Inside they all come with cable TV and coffee.

Five of our cabins, “Raccoon Retreat”, “Porcupine Palace”, “Hawk Haven”, “Trout Terrace”, and “Boars Bunkie”, are only a single room and come with a full bed and private bath. These cabins are wonderful for a couple or a single person looking to get away to a quiet place. Dogs are welcome* in these cabins, which make them great for hunters or the guest who does not want to board their dog while they go on vacation.

Three of our cabins, “Bear Cub Cove”, “Deer Den”, and “Moose Manor”, come with two bedrooms, a kitchenette area, private bath, and small living room. These cabins have a room with a full bed and a room with two twins. The “Grouse House” cabin has the same set up, but with a full bed in each bedroom. The kitchenette area consists of a sink, small fridgerater, microwave, and hotplate. The kitchenettes also come stocked with flatware and cooking utensils. These cabins are great for everyone and are also dog friendly*.

The “Lynx Lair” is one of our more unique cabins, like the other larger cabins it comes with a kitchenette area and private bath. Yet this cabin has one bedroom with a full bed and a larger living area so to give you more space to relax while staying with us here at the Pine Crest.

Our larger cabins are open for the winter season, but only by reservation and for a minimum of a two night stay. Through the dates of June 1 and August 31 the “Lynx Lair” and the “Moose Manor” cabins are reserved for a minimum stay of six nights.
